A long table with Everted Flanges.
This table is made of a solid plank of wood. The edges of the table top are asymmetrically moulded and the low edges joining the legs and aprons are beaded. The small flange on either side of the top is decorated with low relief carvings of Ruyi motifs. Spandrels supporting the legs are decorated with relief carvings of foliage and good-wish cloud motifs. The aprons are beaded along the low edges. The recessed panel legs standing on a base are decorated with moulding on the front. The structure of the front and back legs is further strengthened with a panel of wood that is cuspate in the middle creating a silhouette of curves that enhances the elegant lines of the table.
The table has a simple but made with sophisticated craftsmanship. The craftsman skillfully uses mouldings and beadings on the surfaces of the wood to create subtle visual impact to soften the linearity of the straight lines of the table.
