Red lacquered containers with long handle.

Two red lacquered wood containers with long C shaped handle. Each container stands on a circular base which is reinforced with a band of metal. The body of the container is round with the bottom and top trimmed down and curved inwardly leaving the middle part bulging out. There is a lid that goes on the top of the container. This type of lacquered container was used in the kitchen to store dry goods and the reason for the long handle is to make it convenient to hand the container by the window.
