A Camphor Wood sideboard.
This type of sideboard was popular in the area of Tianjin. One of the characteristic features of this type of sideboard is its ingenious design of metal plate and flaps. On the top section of the space is decorated with 2 drawers on each side with a door in the middle. The top drawer is slightly smaller than the bottom drawer. The metal flap is built in within the plates with a device to keep the flaps streamlined with the surface of the plates and can be flipped out easily when pressed upon.
The space of the low section of the sideboard is decorated with a pair of doors and a rectangular panel that is fixed.
The aprons are simple and undecorated.
