A flat top table.
This table retain an archaic style characteristic of the Jin region (today Shanxi Province).
The table has a cusped apron that is beaded along the edges. The legs are inserted to the table top using inserted shoulder joints. The fluted style of the lower half of the legs are referred to as Jian Tui, which literally means arrow legs suggesting this style of decoration of the legs is developed through inspiration from the shape of an arrow.
The table top consists of a mitred frame with a floating panel. Double stretchers are used between the front and back legs for strengthening.
