A kitchen cabinet
One of the most common features of a Chinese kitchen cabinet is that it is always decorated with very fine carvings and is considered one of the most artistic pieces of furniture.
This cabinet is no exception. It is made of four parts: two parts with artistic carvings interspersed with drawers and close cupboards.
The front top section is decorated with a set of doors that is composed of 4 squares of open carved fretwork and 4 squares of open carved foliage interspersed with 4 rectangular beaded wood bars. These carvings and bars are enclosed within a beaded frame.
Below the frame are three drawers, each is decorated with a C shape metal handle.
Below the three drawers is a set of doors enclosed within a beaded frame. Within the frame are images of plum blossoms and bamboo enclosed in 8 little squares.
The lowest section is a set of two doors and two rectangular wooden boards.
The aprons are decorated with images of coins, vases and good wishes cloud motifs.
